Cathy hails from the suburbs of DC by way of Raleigh, where she first stumbled upon a (very sweaty) power vinyasa class at a local gym. Like many, she was initially drawn to the physical benefits of a yoga class, but gradually developed an appreciation for each practice and its effects both on and off the mat.
Cathy now has nearly five years of teaching experience across various class formats including power vinyasa, hot yoga, yoga sculpt, yin yoga, and pilates. With a background in healthcare and neuroscience, Cathy is passionate about intentional sequencing and incorporating functional movement into sequences to provide a safe yet challenging, fluid but grounding, and overall positive experience. Outside of the studio, Cathy works in medical communications and loves to be outdoors as much as possible.
