What is Health & Wellness Coaching?

Health and Wellness coaching is a personalized, client-centered approach to achieving health goals. It involves collaborating with a certified coach to develop strategies and make sustainable lifestyle changes that promote overall well-being.


What Qualifications do Health & Wellness Coaches have?

Our Health and Wellness Coach, Dominique, is a National  Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach. This credential represents training, education and assessment and serves as the highest obtainable certification in the health & wellness coaching industry.  She also has her Master's Degree, is a Certified Health Education Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor, and Certified Nutrition Coach. These credentials allow her to provide personalized health information, recommendations, and programming. 

How do the coaching sessions work?

Coaching Sessions are held virtually via Zoom, meaning you can meet with your coach from anywhere! Zoom is a secure video conferencing platform. Clients can participate from the comfort of their own home or any location with internet access and privacy. Sessions are scheduled by client request. 

What types of topics can be addressed through Health & Wellness Coaching?

Our coaching services cover a wide range of health and wellness goals, including weight management, stress reduction, nutrition coaching and guidance, fitness planning, chronic disease prevention and management, sleep improvement, and overall lifestyle enhancement.


How long are the coaching sessions?

Coaching sessions typically last between 30-45 minutes, although session length may vary based on individual needs and preferences. Initial sessions may require more time than subsequent follow-ups.


How many sessions are recommended?

The number of sessions recommended depends on your goals, current health status, and progress. Generally, clients benefit from a series of sessions spaced out over several weeks to months to allow for ongoing support and accountability. Session frequency is decided by the client. We offer packages that allow for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cadence. 

What can I expect during a coaching session?

During a coaching session, you can expect a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you'll discuss your goals, challenges, progress, and strategies for success. Your coach will listen actively, ask powerful questions, provide feedback, and offer evidence-based guidance tailored to your unique needs

How will the coach help me stay motivated and accountable?

Your coach will help you set realistic goals, create action plans, and develop strategies to overcome obstacles. They'll provide ongoing encouragement, support, and accountability to help you stay motivated and on track towards achieving your goals. After developing a personalized, realistic plan during your sessions, your coach will update your Wellness Members App with appropriate tracking and accountability tools, take-home resources, and activities designed to help move you forward between sessions. You and your coach will be able to see your progress in real-time and you will be able to message your coach though the app at anytime. Further, you'll be added to the R3finery Wellness Community on the app for additional support, fun challenges, and ongoing encouragement from other members of the program.

Is Health Coaching covered by insurance?

Some insurance plans may cover health coaching services as a Category 3 service. Coverage varies widely. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to inquire about coverage options for health & wellness coaching. If approved, we will complete the necessary forms to assist you in obtaining insurance coverage for your sessions.  

How is my private information kept safe during Health Coaching?

Health Coaching is compliant with HIPAA confidentiality and privacy standards and your personal health information will never be shared with anyone outside of your sessions unless there is a threat to the safety of yourself or others. Sessions are conducted in a secure and confidential environment. Your information is held on a platform that uses encryption and other security features to ensure your personal information remains protected.
