Katie Nemann was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and recently moved to New Jersey with her fiancé Chris. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati with a major in Health Sciences and minor in Psychology. While at UC, Katie competed for the varsity swim team and served as captain her senior year. Following her undergraduate career, Katie continued her education at the University of Cincinnati and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Throughout physical therapy school, she enjoyed being involved in the program and with the Ohio Physical Therapy Association, acting as a class representative for UC, served on the OPTA Student Special Interest Group Board, and acted as the Southwest District Student Liaison.
Throughout her career as a physical therapist, Katie has specialized in outpatient private practice, treating patients of all ages and abilities. She is a Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) certified exercise trainer, as well as Dry Needling certified and an APTA clinical instructor. Strongly believing in the importance of a holistic approach to healing, Katie recently became an accredited Integrative Nutrition and Health Coach, as well as a certified Pilates instructor.
Katie enjoys volunteering her time, and has previously worked as a mentor for undergraduate health science students at UC, as well as working with children with disabilities through the Special Olympics in the pool at adaptive swim team and coaching swimming. Katie stays active through running, spinning and resistance training, and loves spending time outdoors with her dog.
