First Class Checklist

What should I wear & bring to class? Comfortable clothing that you can move in. Socks are required for all classes, and we have some to purchase in studio. You can bring a water, or grab some from our waiting room on your way into class. Feel free to help yourself to our coffee and tea bar as well!

Where do I park? SUMMIT: Street parking is available. There is a public lot outside of the West Elm that is nearby. We recommend budgeting extra time to park especially during peak times like 9am-1pm and weekends. FAR HILLS: We have our own private lot right on the corner of Peapack Rd. and Demun Pl.

How many people are in each class? We keep our classes small—5 clients in Summit and 7 in Far Hills—to give you personalized attention, better form corrections, and a more supportive experience. Small classes mean big results. Because spots are limited, late cancellations make it hard for others to join—so we ask that you cancel at least 12 hours in advance. Members get priority registration, making it easier to reserve your favorite classes.

How long are the classes? 55-minutes

What if I am late to class? We understand it happens - please try to call ahead and let us know. Otherwise, to avoid disruptions and ensure safety, participants will not be permitted to enter class after 10 minutes.

What if I have to cancel? - Group Classes: Cancel up to 12 hours in advance with no charge. Late cancels forfeit the class. 10+ late cancels in 3 months will result in a $10 fee per occurrence. - Privates & Duets: Cancel up to 24 hours in advance with no charge. Canceling within 24 hours incurs a 50% charge; within 12 hours, you’ll be charged in full. - Waitlist: You are automatically added to class if a spot opens before the 1-hour cutoff. If added within the 12-hour window and you don’t attend, you’ll be charged $50 or lose a class. If you can’t make it, please remove yourself before the 12-hour mark to avoid charges. You can cancel a class through the momence app, website, or by texting us at 908-774-8211

How does the waitlist work? If the class you'd like to take is full, you can add yourself to the waitlist so if anyone cancels you'll automatically be added in. The waitlist closes 60 minutes prior to class. If you'd like to wait at the studio in case of a no-show, you will be allowed into class if a participant doesn't show up within 10 minutes of the start time.

Can I do Pilates if I am pregnant or injured? Pregnancy Policy: For the safety and well being of all clients, we kindly ask that any client who is pregnant notify the instructor prior to participating in class. This allows us to provide appropriate modifications and support throughout your pregnancy journey. Once a client reaches the 3rd trimester, participating in group classes requires clearance from the class instructor. In most cases, we recommend transitioning to private sessions during their time to ensure personalized attention and a program tailored to your specific needs. If you are injured, please let your instructor know prior to the class or session. It is up to your instructor's discretion if the class will be safe for you, and they will provide available modifications. We have physical therapy available to assist in your recovery.

Can I use my membership or package at both locations? YES! You can sign up for classes at either studio with the same package or membership Please ensure you have your filters set correctly if you plan to only sign up at one location to avoid accidentally signing up for the wrong studio!

Can I take a class if I am brand new to Pilates? Sure thing! We recommend arriving early to acquaint yourself with the studio and reformer. Please also let your instructor know that it is your first time, as well as any injuries, exercise restrictions, or concerns you may have. If you aren't comfortable jumping into classes, Private Pilates is a wonderful way to get started! Check our our New Client Special which gives you discounted access to 2 Privates and 3 Classes to get the most out of your Pilates experience.
