Alix is a sports and orthopedic physical therapist and nationally certified Pilates teacher specializing in Pilates-based rehabilitation, Myofascial Release therapy (MFR), and Functional Range Conditioning (FRC).  She began her career in 2008 at Spaulding Rehab Hospital in Salem, MA as an orthopedic physical therapist in both the outpatient and inpatient setting.  She then transitioned her career to strictly Pilates-based rehab complimented by MFR in 2009, and recently added FRC.

A graduate of the MGH Institute of Health Professions Doctor of Physical Therapy program, Alix has worked in some of the top hospitals in the Boston area, including MGH, Spaulding Rehab Hospital, and Beth Israel-Deaconess.  In 2009, Alix’s move to Miami launched her profession in the direction of Pilates-based rehab.  She completed her Comprehensive Pilates Training with Polestar Pilates and hasn’t looked back.  Alix has studied advanced techniques in MFR and added them to her practice; she feels Pilates and MFR are a beautiful compliment that leave her patients with excellent results.  She has also recently been certified as a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms), which she believes will further enhance her work in both Physical Therapy and Pilates.  In order to further assist her clients, Alix has explored the world of psychology and holds certificates in The Psychology of Leadership and Wellness Counseling - both through Cornell University.

Born and raised in Watchung, NJ, Alix decided that after 17 years away, it was time to move home to be closer to family and set down roots both personally and professionally.

Throughout her career, she has successfully treated members of the Miami Heat organization, other NBA players, college athletes, professional triathletes, professional cyclists, professional Jai Alai players, professional dancers, professional actors and models, world-renowned artists, as well as high-profile corporate executives from around the world.  She has worked as the therapist of the Model Beach Volleyball Competition on Miami Beach and as a therapist at the Pro Camps Fantasy Basketball Camps in various locations.  Alix has also traveled to Haiti to do volunteer physical therapy in extremely impoverished communities of the country.

Her goal with all of her clients is to bring them to their highest potential level of physical function and return them to a lifestyle or activity they thought was over due to injury.  The results she achieves with her clients speak for themselves.

In her free time, Alix loves spending time with her family, friends, and dogs.  She can frequently be found hiking in the area and also loves taking on a home DIY project.
